Luca and Kurganov Stay Active

Level 15 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

As soon as Mustapha Kanit had left the table in the previous break, Ivan Luca took over control and Igor Kurganov chimed in soon after as well. Both continue to dominate the action with the occasional other opponent raising.

John Juanda made it 53,000 from the cutoff, then folded when Paul Newey shoved from one seat over.

Igor Kurganov limped limped from the button, Ivan Luca called in the small blind and Erik Seidel checked the button. On the {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop, the action was checked to Kurganov and his bet of 44,000 was called only by Luca. The {7-Diamonds} turn saw the Argentinian check and then fold to a bet worth 125,000 by Kurganov.

Kurganov then raised twice to 48,000 and picked up the blinds once and a call by Erik Seidel on the button after. After a {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop, Kurganov continued for 75,000 and that was enough to shut down all further action.

Last but not least, Ivan Luca raised to 48,000 and Kurganov called in the big blind before both checked the {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop and {6-Diamonds} turn. On the {J-Hearts} river, Kurganov checked and folded to an overbet of 250,000 by Luca.
