Stern Tanks; Chops with Vamplew
With the board reading and around 21,000 chips in the pot, Zvi Stern bet 10,500 for half the pot. David Vamplew one seat over made it 29,000 to go and Stern tanked for quite some time, trying to get any kind of information. "Eights?" he asked, then grabbed some chips and put them to his head.
Stern checked his cards again, then waved with the chips in his hand into the table three times before one would eventually drop. Vamplew immediately asked if this was a call and Stern quickly replied "yes, I was not gonna fold anyways." The November Niner showed and Vamplew had an equally strong hand in to chop it up.
Iliodoros Kamatakis then complained that Stern cannot wave around with chips in his hand like this and a floorman walked past the table, which was alerted by the Greek.
Ultimately, the antics were deemed to "probably would have resulted in a forced call" anyways and Stern received a reminder to keep everything within the rules.
