Tedeschi Empties the Clip, Vogelsang Can't Dodge 'Em

Level 14 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Christoph Vogelsang
Christoph Vogelsang

Action folded to Paul Tedeschi on the button and he made it 27,000 to go. Christoph Vogelsang in the big blind was the sole caller.

Vogelsang check called a bet of 30,000 on {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and another 77,000 on the {K-Clubs} before the {2-Hearts} completed the board. Vogelsang checked again, with about 170,000 or so behind, and Tedeschi moved all in.

Vogelsang tanked long and hard, and had the clock called on him at one point. With just 7 seconds left to act, Vogelsang called while saying "I call, with no blockers or anything."

Vogelsang showed {Q-Hearts}{8-Spades} but that was no good as Tedeschi tabled {A-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. Exit for Vogelsang.

The tournament is down to 21 players, as Pasi Sormunen, Georgios Zisimopoulos and Orpen Kisacikoglu have also made their way to the exit.

Brito Doubles

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

From early position, Georgios Zisimopoulos raised to 27,000 before Fernando Brito in the hijack shoved all in for 54,000. In the big blind, Christoph Vogelsang, tanked for quite some time before releasing his cards into the muck. Zisimopoulos called instantly.

Fernando Brito; {10-Spades}{J-Spades}
Georgios Zisimopoulos: {A-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

The board came {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Brito doubled up.

Petrangelo, Adams Out

Level 13 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Nick Petrangelo
Nick Petrangelo

Charlie Carrel opened to 20,000 and a short stacked Nick Petrangelo shoved all in for less.

It was Petrangelo's tournament life riding on the {k-Clubs}{2-Spades} versus Carrel's {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. The {j-Hearts}{q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{9-Hearts} board took care of Petrangelo, who joined the recently busted Timothy Adams on the rail.

Big Stacks Clash

Level 11 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Sergey Lebedev
Sergey Lebedev

Chip bosses Sergey Lebedev and Orpen Kisacikoglu just clashed over a big pot.

With the board reading {10-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{5-Clubs} on the turn, Kisacikoglu led for 57,000. Lebedev struck back, raising to 135,000 total, and after a minute in the tank, Kisacikoglu called.

Kisacikoglu checked the {k-Spades} river, but when Lebedev fired out a bet of 200,000, he shrugged and called. Lebedev turned over the {k-Hearts}{3-Hearts} having flopped a flush. Kisacikoglu mucked allowing Lebedev to rake in the pot and rise into the spot at the top of the current counts.
