Demidov Doubles, Farrell the Fortune Teller
Level 7
: 250/500, 50 ante
Niall Farrell opened to 1,200 from early position and his neighbor Ivan Demidov shoved for 11,700. Action folded to Vicente Delgado and he too pushed all in. Action now folded around to Farrell who folded face up, despite being convinced he "should never fold king-queen suited in a PokerStars tournament since that hand always wins..."
Demidov showed and Delgado had , but still Farrell wasn't backing down on his claim king-queen would win the hand.
Wouldn't you know it; on the flop. Farrell merely raised an eyebrow upon seeing his future predicting talent once again confirmed.
The on the turn and on the river made Demidov's eights into a winning straight and Delgado's top set hit the muck soon enough.
