With the elimination of Max Altergott the tournament just lost the EPT Grand Final Super High Roller winner from last season. Back then Altergott beat Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier heads up and took home the €1,746,400 first-place prize. Today the German pro will have to make due with a small cash in the Main Event.
Altergott moved all in preflop for just 51,000 and was called by Stefan Vagner. It looked good for Altergott until the turn made it almost impossible for him to win.
