Elder's Kings Cracked
From the UTG+1 seat the wavy-haired Antonio Volpicelli opened the betting with a min-raise to 1,200 and when the action folded to former EPT San Remo champion Rupert Elder in the cutoff he smooth-called. To his direct left was the Team PokerStars Pro Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier and he came along for the ride too, so it was three handed to the flop.
Volpicelli's check prompted Elder to tap the table and ElkY to follow suit; no more chips went into the pot. That changed upon the arrival of the on the turn as Volpicelli lead for 1,800 and only Elder made the call so it was heads-up to the river. Volpicelli now checked, then called when Elder took a 4,600 stab at the pot.
