The River Wild
Mohsin Charania and Sam Chartier both hung around to the river in heads up pots, and it was at that juncture that they admitted defeat.
Charania opened to 400 from mid position and called when Roberto Vaira three-bet to 1,100 from the cut-off. The board ran out and the EPT Grand Final champ check-called bets of 1,500 and 3,000. He checked for a third time on the river and folded when faced with a 6,000 bet. He's getting very short now.
Chartier had similar river problem. He and Andrey Bondar both committed 3,200 pre flop to see a flop appear. Chartier led for 2,600 and was called. They checked through the turn before the Canadian check-folded to a 6,000 bet from Bondar on the river.
