Dempsey Cold Five-Bet Shoves Into Aces
There has been a fair bit of banter on the Chris Moorman/James Dempsey table but it's gotten a bit quieter with the elimination of the latter.
In the previous hand, Barny Boatman had limped from UTG+1 and Chris Moorman had isolated him with a raise only for everyone to fold, including Boatman. Dempsey had apparently jokingly pointed out that all you needed to do was reraise Moorman to win the hand.
Fate was then sealed in the next hand, Boatman limped UTG and Team PokerStars Pro Toni Judet made it 1,100 to go. Ramil Yusopov then three-bet to 2,900 in the next seat down before EPT Vienna champion Michael Eiler made it 6,800 with a cold four-bet. Dempsey then moved all-in for about 25,000, Boatman folded (later claiming ace-king), as did Judet and Yusopov (one of whom said they had queens).
Eiler snap-called with aces against Dempsey's ace-queen suited and the board bricked out for the Englishman who also admitted he hadn't been playing well today. Eiler meanwhile is over the 80,000 mark.
