End of Day 1A: The Herold Standard
Play has now finished for the day and of the 102 survivors it is Julian Herold who is the chip leader with 138,425 at the end of seven levels.
Several former winners remain in the field, Kent Lundmark, Rupert Elder, David Vamplew, Mats Gavatin and Roberto Romanello - all making it through to Day 2 on Thursday where they will also be joined by Steve O'Dwyer, Paul Berende and PokerStars Greek Challenger Georgios Kapalas. Kenny Hallaert, Chris Moorman, Brynn Kenney and PokerStars Team Pro Ana Marquez also made it into the second day ensuring much star power remains in this competition.
Those who'll be having a holiday for the rest of week will include, Brandon Cantu, Fernando Brito as well as Team Pros Richard Toth and Martin Horecki.
Tomorrow, we'll be expecting an even larger field than today that will include Johnny Lodden, Eugene Katchalov and Kevin MacPhee - all looking to do battle and become the first ever EPT Loutraki champion!
