Mattern Not a Morning Person

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Despite admittedly being a night owl with little regard for the early part of the day, Arnaud Mattern has made the most of Level 1 so far, keeping his stack in motion and raising it to 40,000. He did check-fold one three-bet flop ({J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}) after calling 7,500 from Alexis Morlet in the cutoff, but got the chips back in a blind on blind confrontation.

The small blind Gert Roland Zumkehr limped, and Mattern raised, bet the flop, bet the turn and shipped the river for 15,000. It was only at this point that Zumkehr folded.
