Marzocchi Gets Away With It

A slightly odd situation just occurred over on table 4. Allie Prescott had bet 4,600 on a {Q-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {3-Spades} before Stefano Marzocchi had declared 80,000 but had meant to just make it 8,000.

The floor was called and Marzocchi apologised, saying that his English was not very good. Unfortunately for him, the floor ruled that the verbal bet was binding and he was forced to move all-in.

Prescott now laughed out loud but looked slightly uncomfortable has he declared, "I'm gonna to have to call," as though he did not seem to happy about benefiting from another player's mistake.

Prescott: {K-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}
Stefano Marzocchi: {K-Clubs} {10-Spades}

The {J-Spades} appeared on the turn giving some chop possibilities and the {A-Clubs} river meant the pot was going to split between the two. Prescott could only laughed again as Marzocchi did not have to pay for his mistake.
