Priyan de Mel
Priyan de Mel
Antony Lellouche made it 46,000 to play from late position, but that was only the beginning. Kalle Niemi announced a raise to 110,000 next door, and there was still more action to come. One seat over from there, Priyan de Mel peeked at his cards and made an all-in reraise for just about 500,000 total. Lellouche folded with a frown, and Niemi called with his hands trembling, putting de Mel at risk of elimination with his covering stack.

Showdown
Niemi: {A-Spades} {Q-Clubs}
De Mel: {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}

De Mel was none too pleased with his opponent's play. "Ace-queen call? Just drop me out." Niemi sat still and hunkered down for the rest of the verbal barrage. "Ace-queen," continued de Mel, standing up and shaking his head. "You lose to a pair, you lose to ace-king..."

He continued to chatter as the dealer ran out an uninteresting board of {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {6-Spades} {3-Spades}. Chop it up.

De Mel sat back down to continue the one-sided discourse. "Ace-queen call," he repeated yet again. "For three quarters of your stack. Come on. We're playing an EPT here, you know?"
