Deeb Grows

Freddy Deeb
Freddy Deeb
Freddy Deeb may not be one of the most intimidating people in the room, but now he is yielding a very intimidating stack after picking up two hefty pots in back-to-back action.

First, the flop was {K-Spades} {J-Spades} {7-Hearts} when a player from the small blind bet out 2,650. Deeb was next to act and raised to 18,000 straight. The third player that saw the flop from the button folded, sending the small blind into the tank for a few minutes. He knew that Freddy's raise committed nearly all of his chips to the hand so the decision was an important one. Finally, the player ended up sticking the chips into the middle. It was only a couple thousand more for Deeb to make the call and he instantly did so, tabling {K-Clubs} {J-Hearts}. The small blind held two red aces -- {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds}.

The turn brought the {Q-Hearts}, adding a few straight outs for the player in the small blind, but he fell short when the river was the {8-Spades}. Deeb gathered in the pot, but even before stacking all of his chips, he got involved again.

After raising preflop and finding one caller, Deeb led out into the flop of {K-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {7-Clubs}. His opponent made the call. The turn brought the {A-Hearts} and Deeb fired 2,300 on the second-to-last street of action. His opponent took some time, but then mucked his hand.

Deeb added those chips to the unstacked pile already in front of him and began building his towers. When it was all said and done, Deeb was held slightly over 62,000 chips.
