Keeline Caged by Kings

Level 10 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Ben Keeline
Ben Keeline

Immediately after returning from the dinner break, action folded to Steve Wilkie on the button and he opened to 5,500. Ben Keeline re-jammed for 51,500 in the small blind and Wilkie called after Rich Dixon folded ace-queen in the big blind.

Ben Keeline: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Steve Wilkie: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The case queen was nowhere to be found as the board ran out {5-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Spades} and Keeline's queens were trampled by Wilkie's cowboys as a result.

Griboski Saves His Tournament Life

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Jason Welch raised to 3,100 under the gun and received calls from Dan Mingus in the cutoff, Sherman Wu in the small blind, and Vincent Griboski in the big blind. All four players checked {7-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{q-Clubs}.

The turn came {a-Spades} and Wu checked again. Griboski bet 9,000 and Welch called, with Mingus and Wu folding behind to take action to the river {a-Hearts}. Griboski checked and Welch bet 8,000, which Griboski called.

Welch showed {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for the rivered full house, with Griboski showing a second-best flopped flush {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

"You probably weren't going anywhere, were you?" asked Griboski after the hand. Welch confirmed he was not after having flopped the set.

"So I probably saved my tournament life playing it that way," Griboski added.

Al Hart

Al Hart opened in the hijack and saw Michael Giardina three-bet jam for around 20,000 on the button. Hart called.

Michael Giardina: [as9s
Al Hart: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Three More Toasted

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Steve Wilkie
Steve Wilkie

Jason Welch saw action fold to him on the button and limped. Steve Wilkie completed his small blind and Josh Saltz checked his option in the big blind, taking action three ways to a flop of {7-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

First to act, Wilkie jammed for 7,500 and Saltz called with Welch folding behind.

Steve Wilkie: {k-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Josh Saltz: {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Saltz connected with the turn {6-Clubs}, hitting a straight and leaving Wilkie in need of finding one of the three remaining tens in the deck to chop and stay alive. Instead, the river {a-Diamonds} completed the runout to earn Saltz the pot and the knockout.

Moments later, Aaron Frei was also eliminated while Salim Wahdan also was knocked out with his stack seen being shipped to Al Hart.
