Brassieur and Chomenko Exit on Bubble

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

On one table, a three-way all in was in progress between, Jason Fitzpatrick, Justin Brassieur, and David Valden, with Valden covering.

Justin Brassieur: A?K?
David Valden: Q?Q?
Jason Fitzpatrick: K?Q?

The board ran out A?9?10?6?J? to give Fitzpatrick a straight on the river to scoop the whole pot, eliminating Brassieur in the process.

On the other table, the flop read K?5?J? when Christopher Chomenko moved all in for 98,000 and Ryan Van called to put him at risk.

Christopher Chomenko: J?9?
Ryan Van: A?A?

The board ran out 5?8? for Van to claim the pot with his aces and Chomenko was sent to the rail.

As both of these players exited in simultaneously in 17th and 16th place, there will be no hand-for-hand as the remaining 15 players are now in the money!

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Derek Normand
Derek Normand

On a heads-up flop of 9?8?7?, Derek Normand led out for 9,000 and was then raised to 29,000 by [Removed:460]. Normand responded by moving all in and Abdallah snap-called to put him at risk.

Normand tabled 9?10? for top pair and open-ended, but Abdallah had him bet with 5?6? for a made straight and a flush draw.

Unfortunately for Normand, the runout of K?9? did him no favors and he was sent to the rail seven spots from the money.

Ruben Continues the Sun Run

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

On a heads-up turn between Brad Ruben and Christina Sharkady, the board read Q?J?2?8? when Ruben bet 36,000 and Sharkady called.

The river fell the 6? and Sharkady led for 50,000 but then Ruben moved all in to cover.

"F*ck...well I don't think I can fold... only one hand beats me..." Sharkady said aloud as she counted her stack.

After about twenty seconds, she made the call to put herself at risk and tabled K?3? for a king-high flush, but then Ruben showed her the bad news with A?2? for the nut flush. The table went crazy at the strength of their hands as Sharkady exited the tournament while Ruben was pushed the pot to become the dominant chip leader.

Lawson Holds against Hickey

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

On a four-way flop of 2?9?4?, two players checked to David Lawson who bet 15,500 into the pot of 27,000, but then Jason Hickey moved all in for 42,000. The first two players got out of the way and after some thought, Lawson made the call to put him at risk.

Jason Hickey: K?8?
David Lawson: 6?6?

Lawson was ahead with his pocket sixes but needed to fade any king, eight, or diamond. Luckily for him, the runout was pure as it came J?3? for his pair to hold and Hickey was eliminated.

Van' Aces Runs over Leffingwell's Kings

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Will Leffingwell opened to 6,000, Jason Fitzpatrick three-bet to 17,000, and then Ryan Van in the small blind moved all in for around 140,000. Leffingwell quickly called for less and Fitzpatrick got out of the way.

Will Leffingwell: K?K?
Ryan Van: A?A?

Leffingwell needed to spike a king to stay alive, but the flop of A?6?9? meant he needed to spike two of them. Unfortunately, the 10? on the turn left him drawing dead and he exited once the Q? completed the board.

Keem Busts Bullock with Jacks

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

On a heads-up flop of Q?7?6?, Sung Keem bet 12,000 and then Jason Bullock moved all in for 31,800.

Keem only paused for a few seconds before he made the call to put Bullock at risk.

Jason Bullock: 4?4?
Sung Keem: J?J?

Only a four or a running straight could save Bullock, but the runout of Q?A? did not do it and he was sent to the rail while Keem added to his stack.

'Always Has it Brad' Strikes Again

Level 9 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Brad Ruben
Brad Ruben

Brad Ruben had made it 22,500 to go preflop, and then Jason Daly moved all in for almost 100,000, which Ruben snap-called.

"Oh man, of course he has it," Daly sighed as Ruben flipped over A?A?.

"That's why we call him 'Always Has it Brad'," Will Leffingwell chimed in as Daly tabled A?Q?.

The runout of 2?7?3?4?4? was of no assistance to Daly and he was sent to the rail as Ruben was pushed the pot, making him the chip leader.
