Today's first one-day trophy event is another Saturday Series Deep Stack! Players get a 25,000-chip Deep Stacks and all levels are 30 minutes long. PokerNews will be offering periodic updates from this event.
The $100,000 guarantee on this event always brings out a big crowd and today should be no different. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are allowed until the start of level 11 (about 4:45pm). Play will continue until a winner is determined and another Borgata Open trophy finds a new home.
Last year, this event saw 511 entries creating a prize pool of $173,485. The final 54 players earned a share and it played to completion, which took until about 6am Sunday morning. Adam Pepper bested Keiko Lim in a short heads-up match, taking first place and $43,201 for his efforts. Lim earned $24,288 for her runner-up finish.
