Players Back From Break

Level 5: Blinds 200/400/400 BB Ante

Players are back on the felt following the break.

The Big Blind Ante was first introduced at Borgata during the 2018 Spring Poker Open and it was a big hit among players. It speeds up the game, the dealers don’t have to make as much change, and we don’t have to deal with the green 25 chips in the early levels. Since then, it has been used in almost every No Limit Hold'em tournament played here.

Following this summer's TDA summit, there was a change in the way all-ins are handled. Originally, If there was an all-in situation in the big blind, chips would go toward the big blind first, then the ante. That rule was changed at Borgata this year and now when the big blind is all-in and can't cover both, chips go toward the BB Ante first, then any remaining chips go toward the big blind.
