Rayan Nathan - 4th Place
Rayan Nathan - 4th Place
Michael Pedley has the button in seat 1. Rayan Nathan commits his last 5,000 in chips to the pot in the dark from under-the-gun. Action then fell to Robert Wang in the small blind who put in a raise, which scared Larry Karambis out of the pot.

Nathan: {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Wang: {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

The board filled out {Q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Wang took down the pot with two pair, tens and sixes, eliminating Rayan Nathan from the tournament in fourth place, a finish worth $42,080 AUD.

Nathan: {A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Pedley: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The board filled out: {2-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{J-Clubs} and Pedley's A-Q high held up, crippling Rayan Nathan.

Hand #53 - Julian Powell Eliminated in 5th Place ($31,560 AUD)

Julian Powell
Julian Powell
The button is dead in seat 8.

Robert Wang opens with a 20,000 raise from under-the-gun and the action folds around to Julian Powell who pauses and thinks for a bit. As Julian contemplates his decision, Wang says, "I swear I'll put you all in," which garnered a warning from the dealer as Michael Pedley had yet to act.

Julian eventually came to a decision, opting to move all in. Pedley folded and Wang made the call instantly, tabling {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Powell produced the {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

The board filled out {10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Wang took down the pot with two pair, threes and fours, with an ace kicker, eliminating Powell from the tournament in 5th place.

Hand #51 - David Steicke Eliminated in 6th Place ($26,300 AUD)

David Steicke - 6th Place
David Steicke - 6th Place
Larry Karambis has the button in seat 4. Michael Pedley opens the pot with a 20,000 raise and the action folds around to Karambis who kicks it up to 40,000. David Steicke then announces that he's all in - a total bet of 44,000 - and Pedley slams his cards into the muck. Karambis makes the call for an extra 4,000 and tables {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}; Steicke shows {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

The board fills out {8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{9-Hearts} giving Karambis the top set, which is more than enough to eliminate Steicke from the tournament in 6th place, a finish worth $26,300 AUD.

Hand #50 - Robert Wang

Robert Wang has the button in seat 3. David Steicke leads the action with a 20,000 bet from under-the-gun and Wang makes the call from the button. Rayan Nathan has a look at his cards in the big blind before getting out of the way, leaving Wang and Steicke heads up to the flop.

Flop: {3-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{4-Spades}

Steicke fires a 30,000 bet on the flop and Wang cuts the required amount of chips from his stack to make the call.

The turn brings the {K-Diamonds} and Steicke quickly and deliberately slides 40,000 in chips into the middle. Wang makes the call after some thought and the dealer puts the {2-Diamonds} on the river.

Steicke leans forward in his chair and passes the first action to Wang, who immediately fires a 40,000 bet. Steicke makes a quick call and Wang stands up out of his chair and pumps his fist as if he already knows he won the pot. Wang then returns to the table and turns over a pocket pair of threes for a set. Steicke remains calm in his chair and takes a sip from the glass of green tea he's got in front of him before handing his cards back to the dealer.

Robert Wang is still stacking his chips, but we think he's taken over the chip lead.
