Kagawa: {5-Spades}{6-Spades}

McDonald held the lead with trip aces, until the {8-Spades} peeled off on the river to give Kagawa his flush.

Kagawa 1, McDonald 0

Masaaki Kagawa has finally got the better of Mike "Timex" McDonald to take a 1-0 lead.

McDonald took another shot with {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} against Kagawa's {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} but the board ran out {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{A-Spades} to leave McDonald with only around 2,500 chips.

Shortly after McDonald pushed with {A-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Kagawa called with {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}. The board landed {Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{5-Spades} to give Kagawa a tough fought victory in their first match.

The two players are taking a quick break before their second match commences.

McDonald Doubles Kagawa

McDonald just took another shot at victory against Kagawa, pushing all in with {Q-Clubs}{7-Spades}. Kagawa made the call with {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Kagawa doubles back to around 10,000 chips!

The battle continues with the blinds getting very big...!

Nelson Grabs Lead From Winston

Roy Winston fired out a 1,200 chip bet on the flop of {2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{A-Hearts} and Lee Nelson made the call. The turn came {3-Spades} and both players checked. The river landed the {9-Spades} and Winston fires another 1,500 chip bet. Nelson makes the call and Winston says "You got it, I got king high". Nelson shows {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and scoops a nice pot to take the chip lead.

Kagawa/McDonald War Continues

Masaaki Kagawa and Mike "Timex" McDonald are still battling it out in their first match with the lead changing hands on multiple occasions.

In recent hands, McDonald first cracked the pocket aces of Kagawa holding J-7 when the board ran out {10-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{7-Spades} to spike two pair on the river to dent the stack of Kagawa.

Kagawa then got some revenge holding the same J-7 against the pocket sixes of McDonald. A jack landed on the flop to give Kagawa the pot.

In the most recent clash, McDonald made a great call with {10-Clubs}{5-Spades} on the turn with the board reading {2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. Kagawa was all in with {3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} but spiked a {10-Diamonds} on the river to make a flush and leave McDonald as the short stack once again!

Nelson Squares With Winston

Lee Nelson and Roy Winston are now into a decider after Nelson won their second match to level their series at 1-1.

On a flop of {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts} Winston led out with a 1,000 chip bet and Nelson made the call. Then turn brought a repeat {9-Spades} and Winston bet the last of his 4,500 chips. Nelson called and the cards were flipped:

Winston: {K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Nelson: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}

The river landed the {10-Hearts} and Nelson's flush holds to win the pot and the second match!
