Meritan Hero-Calls Against Lew
Every so often, a player makes it clear that they are very pleased with a hand that they have played. Luc Meritan approached the media tables with a story of a big hand involving him and Randy Lew.

"It looked like he was pretending that he was huge when he was not huge" Meritan told us. "I felt like I had the best hand."
Meritan had 70,000 left so he was calling for a large percentage of his remaining chips. In the end he did so with and Lew turned over .
"It's a very gutsy play," said Meritan. "I knew he was good enough to do it. If it was an amateur I don't call. It was definitely 'nanonoko fame'-dependent."
