Watson Takes Two From Tan

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Jay Tan has been moved over to Mike Watson’s table and the two have tangled in a couple of hands with Watson winning both.

We caught the action on the turn in the first on a board reading {k-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. With roughly 4,000 in the pot Watson had led out for 2,000 and Tan was just contemplating the call as we arrived.

Tan does call and just as we were maneuvering into a position to catch a better view of the action Watson led out for 5,000 and Tan folded before we could get a glimpse of the river.

Watson is in the big blind for the next hand and following a raise from a player sitting under the gun Tan called in middle position and Watson also made the call to take the hand three-way to a {4-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop.

Watson checked the original raiser led out for 1,500 and both Tan and Watson called.

The {5-Diamonds} brought checks from Watson and the under the gun player and Tan reached down for chips, betting out 4,200 in total. Watson called and the original raiser folded to take the hand heads-up.

Watson checked the {j-Spades} river and Tan checked it right back. As the last aggressor, she has to show first and turned over {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for king-high and a missed heart draw. Watson rolled over {8-Diamonds}{a-Spades} for top pair and raked in another pot. He’s now sitting on 60,000 while Tan dropped to around 90,000.
