Robert Nguyen opened to 32,000 from the button and Paul Hoefer moved all in to enforce a fold.
Then, Hoefer limped from the small blind and Frank Williams raised to 48,000, the German called. On the flop, Hoefer check-folded to a bet worth 33,000 by Williams.
One further hand later, Hoefer raised to 34,000 and Karib Yustinus defended his small blind. The board was checked through entirely and Hoefer's won the pot.
Frank Williams raised to 26,000 and Mogens Hansen in the small blind as well as Alex Grocott called in the blinds. On the flop , Hansen fired 75,000 and both his opponents folded.
The next hand, Robert Nguyen raised to 26,000 and Hansen three-bet to 75,000 with Nguyen coming along to the flop . Nguyen check-raised all in and Hansen forfeited a hefty continuation bet of 100,000 to lose more than half his stack.
The action folded around to Piyush Gupta in the small blind and he moved all in for 79,000 chips out of the small blind. Paul Hoefer asked the dealer for an exact count and then tossed in the chips.

The flop changed not much for Gupta, as he still needed to pair one of his two hole cards in order to stay in the tournament. Once the appeared on the turn, Gupta now needed a six to chop but blanked with the river. Hoefer's full house took down the pot and Gupta headed to the payout desk in order to collect A$10,685 for his efforts.
