Jason Gray Out

Willcocks had every reason to be happy after eliminating Jason Gray
Willcocks had every reason to be happy after eliminating Jason Gray
Jason Gray has been eliminated from the tournament.

Preflop, Phillip Willcocks raised and both Gray and David Campbell called out of the blinds.

The flop came {4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}, and Campbell checked to Gray, who moved his last 2,100 into the middle. Willcocks made no hesitation in calling, and Campbell folded.

Willcocks showed {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} to be well ahead of Gray's {A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. The turn {5-Hearts} and river {q-Hearts} were not enough to keep Jason Gray in the tournament.

After seeing that Gray was eliminated, Billy "the Croc" Argyros let out a good spirited celebration, likely taking some last longer action.

Phillip Willcocks moves up to 31,000. Billy "the Croc" still has about 20,000.

Willcocks Pushes Too Hard on Bergeron

Craig Bergeron
Craig Bergeron
On a board of {6-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, Phil Willcocks led out with a bet of 2,400 before his opponent, Craig Bergeron, bumped it up to 4,800. Willcocks then put in another raise to 7,200, and Bergeron made the call.

The river was the {K-Clubs}, and Willcocks fired again with Bergeron calling behind. Willcocks showed down {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for ace-high. Bergeron took the pot with {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for trip kings.

Bergeron is up to 84,000 with Willcocks back to 15,000.

Maya Has Them in the Palm of Her Hands

Simon Palmer is the latest to feel the wrath of Maya Gellar-Antonius. Recently we saw Gellar-Antonius raising preflop with {4-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Palmer calling with {A-?}{K-?}.

The last of Palmer's chips were in on a flop of {2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{J-Clubs}. Gellar-Antonius bet the flop and Palmer raised all in, with Gellar-Antonius calling.

The turn {8-Clubs} and river {J-Hearts} missed Palmer and he was eliminated from the tournament. Gellar-Antonius is now up to 27,000.

Mel Judah Eliminated
Mel Judah Eliminated
We drew comparisons earlier between Mel Judah and the Energizer Bunny. Playing on a maximum of five hours sleep after taking down event #3 at 6am this morning, Judah heroically (or crazily, depending on your point of view) returned to the felt midday for today's event.

After a massive effort, Judah has finally succumbed after making it to the final four tables before falling victim to Zac Gruneberg.

Judah can at least get some rest tonight before playing in the $1,100 HORSE tournament tomorrow.

Kochan Out

Daniel Kochan
Daniel Kochan
In a battle of Australia's young guns, James Obst and Daniel Kochan went to war on a king-high flop. Kochan was all in and tabled {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}, but Obst had him in trouble with his {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}.

The turn and river bricked out and Kochan was KO'd. Obst is now up to 42,000 chips.
