Swalling Stacks Willcocks

Steven Swalling has just became our new chip leader at the expense of Phil Willcocks.

With most of the money going in before the flop, the remaining few thousand were committed on a ten-high board with Swalling tabling {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades} to be in great shape against Willcock's {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

The turn and river bricked out and as Willcock's headed to rail, Swalling virtually stacked up the pot sending him to over 80,000 in chips.

Putt Putts Out

Jeff Putt has recently been eliminated when his {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} lost a race against an opponent's {j-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}.

Even with this elimination play has been very slow over the course of this level. Players are still complaining of the heat and Tournament Directors are frequently running bottles of water over to players.

Dave Lee was firstly crippled by Haibo Chu holding {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} up against Chu's {K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} with all the money going in on the flop of {K-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}.

The turn and river fell the {7-Spades} and {5-Diamonds} crippling Lee while Chu moved up to tournament chip leader with 45,600 in chips.

A few hands later Lee moved his final 2,100 all in with {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and busted on the losing side of a race.

Tahtouh Speaks Up

After being eliminated from this tournament early, Emad Tahtouh has wondered back into the PokerPro table area and approached the media desk.

"I want you to write that Emad couldn't take the heat, so he got out of the kitchen," said Tahtouh in response to the high temperatures in the PokerPro area.

Whether it is the heat from the PokerPro machines or the lack of air-conditioning vents, most players are feeling it with the standard poker hoodies and caps being abandoned.

Shuttlewood Chips Up

Kalan Shuttlewood has chipped up to sit just below the 40,000 chip mark.

On a board reading {7-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} Shuttlewood called a bet on each street from his opponent holding {J-Clubs}{J-Spades} which was enough to take the pot from his opponent who was holding {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

Saab Sent Packing

David Saab Eliminated

Catching the action with the board reading {5-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{J-Spades}{9-Hearts} Brendon Rubie called a bet from David Saab. When the river of the {3-Spades} landed Saab moved all in for his last 6,125 and Rubie was quick to call.

Saab tabled {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} but wasn't enough to keep himself in the tournament as the young Sydney-sider Rubie tabled {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} to collect the pot and move up to 27,275 in chips.
