Nasr Elnasr Eliminated in 6th Place ($5,395)

Nasr Elnasr - 6th Place
Nasr Elnasr - 6th Place
From middle position Mitchell Carle opened to 15,000 which was swiftly followed by an all in reraise from Nasr Elnasr for 100,000. Carle pondered for a little before making the call with {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and was racing against Elnasr's {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}.

The final board read {6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Carle sent Elnasr to the rail in 6th place for $5,395 as Carle moved further ahead of the pack now sitting on 485,000 in chips.

Jozef Berec Eliminated in 7th Place ($3,735)

It seems as though Mitchell Carle's speak of eclipsing the 300,000 chip mark have brought some good poker karma to himself with the elimination of Jozef Berec.

Berec moved all-in from the button for 65,000 holding {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades} and was double-fist-pump-snap called by Mitchell Carle holding {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}.

The flop ran out {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and we lost Berec in 7th place earning himself a handy $3,375 in the process. With the virtual chips now stacked neatly, Carle is placed very strongly with 382,000 in chips.

Carle's Frustration

Mitchell Carle arrived at the final table with 300,000 chips, and not once has increased his stack past this.

Many times he has floated around that initial mark and flirted with tipping over the 300,000 mark, but alas he has failed. Currently he is sitting with 292,000 chips and commented, "I'm chip leader and I can't gain chips at the final table!"

Ups and Downs For Elnasr

Mitchell Carle opened the button to 9,000 which was immediately followed by Michael Russell moving all in for 42,000. With the action on Nasr Elnasr in the small blind he then moved all in for 89,000. Carle folded and Russell tabled {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} while Elnasr was in the lead with {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} in a classic race situation.

The final board read {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Russell doubled to 97,000 as Elnasr slipped to 47,000 in chips.

The following hand Elnasr moved all in holding {A-?}{7-?} and was called by Daniel Neilson holding {A-?}{K-?}. The flop brought a seven and Elnasr doubled back to 98,000 as Neilson slipped to 140,000 in chips.

Russell Doubles Through Carle

With Mitchell Carle sitting on 299,000 chips; a single 1000-chip from where he started the final table he made it clear to the table he was winning this pot.

As the action passed round to Carle on the button he raised it up to 9,000. Michael Russell sat in the small blind for his full 30-second time bank before moving all in for 23,000 total. Carle made the call and tabled {K-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Russell showed {J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{A-Spades} and Russell doubled to 48,000 as Carle slipped back to 275,000 in chips.
