Dzianisan Eliminated by Emad Tahtouh; Final Table Set!

After a lengthy hand-for-hand session, 9th place has been decided, thus bringing an end to Day 1 of the PokerStars.net APPT Macau High Roller's Event. Tournament chip leader and Team PokerStars Pro Emad Tahtouh did the damage, eliminating Aliansandr Dzianisan from the tournament with pocket queens against Dzianisan's pocket nines. The action went as follows:

Dzianisan made it 8,500 to go from the cutoff and Emad kicked it up to 25,000 from the big blind; Dzianisan just called. The flop came {4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Emad led out with a 25,000 bet. Dzianisan then shoved all in over the top of Emad's bet, raising a total of 71,000; Emad made the call.

Tahtouh: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Dzianisan: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

The hand was cemented on the turn after the {Q-Hearts} rolled off the deck, giving Tahtouh an unbeatable, pot-clinching set.

Dzianisan's elimination set the stage for tomorrow's eight-handed final table, at which Emad Tahtouh will begin with a commanding chip lead over the field.
