A King For Sass Turns Things Around

The cards were turned on their backs when we arrived on the scene. And it wasn't looking good for Alan Sass. After the hand was over we found out that Sass had called a five-bet from chip leader Andrew Gaw after he had put in a four-bet himself. The flop showed {Q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Sass moved all in after Gaw had put in a 35,000-chip bet. Gaw called creating a monsterpot!

Alan Sass: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Andrew Gaw: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}

The turn brought out the {K-Clubs} and Sass hit his set. On the river the {Q-Spades} showed up and Sass raked in a massive pot.

"So lucky," Sass sighed as he was pushed the biggest pot of the tournament so far. "I guess I can't complain about bad luck in tournaments anymore," he added. Gaw took a big hit but still remains in the top ten.
