Jiageng Zhang Eliminated in 9th Place (?18,567,000|$16,000)

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Jiageng Zhang
Jiageng Zhang

Jiageng Zhang is the first player to bust in the final table, after a couple of short-stack all ins that survived. One of them was Jiageng himself, who called from utg+1, Tae Hoon Han's raise to 80,000 and then shoved on the {3-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop after Han's c-bet to 75,000. Han called with {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} and had a flush draw plus two overcards versus Jiageng's {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}.

The board ran out {6-Spades} and {10-Clubs}, and Jiageng Zhang managed to double up to 900,000 chips.

A bit later he gave those chips to Huidong Gu, in a cooler spot. Jiageng Zhang three-bet from the button to 250,000, after Huidong Gu's raise to 90,000 from the lojack position.

Gu called and the flop revealed {2-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}, Gu checked, Jiageng shoved, and Gu snap called.

Huidong Gu: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Jiageng Zhang: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The second time that Jiageng Zhang picks up tens, but this time he was a big underdog. The {6-Hearts} on the turn and the {q-Diamonds} on the river wrote the epilogue of Jiageng Zhang's course in the final table.

Ruihong Tao
Ruihong Tao

Ruihong Tao was in a tough spot after losing an all in with ace-eight against Jiageng Zhang's king-jack. Tao was left with less than five big blinds and shoved them a couple of minutes later.

In this hand he was in middle position, and Kairan Jin was in the small blind. He didn't that a player was all in, and said call by putting some chips in the table, thinking that he is just calling for the big blind. The dealer stopped the play, and asked for the tournament director, who indicated that since Jin said call, then he should call the all in.

Jin finally put the chips for the call, while Duc Trung Vu folded from the small blind. Tao had queen-jack, and dominated Jin's jack-six, with the board giving him the double up.

This way Tao went up to 350,000, and find another double up a couple of hands later. Yang Zhang opened from the hijack, Zhang Mengyin shoved from the small blind, and Ruihong Tao called the shove. Yang folded and Mengyin was slightly covering her opponent with the two players tabling their cards.

Tao: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Mengyin: {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Ruihong Tao is up to 750,000 while, Zhang Mengyin is left with 175,000.
