Kim Stops The Bleeding
Level 11
: 800/1,600, 200 ante
Start-of-day chip leader Dong Il Kim had spent the better part of the first two levels bleeding chips.
However, he picked up a pot moments ago to cauterize the wound. The hand started with a Hai Ha Tran raise to 4,000 that he and Mark Benasa called in the blinds. The flop fell and Kim led out for 7,800. Only Benasa called.
They both checked the turn. But when the river came down, Kim fired away, making it 24,100. Benasa folded and while Kim is still down close to 80,000 from where he started the day, he appears to be headed in the right direction again.
