Quads for Wang
We arrived at the table to see the player under the gun open to 700, before being met with a re-raise to 2,700 from an opponent to his immediate left. The table folded around to Ted Wang on the small blind, who decided to re-raise to 6,600 in chips. The original raiser didn’t hesitate, moving all in for his last 8,500, forcing a quick fold from the player in between, as Wang made the call.
Wang:
Opponent:
It looked like Wang was going to double up his opponent, but not until the dealer spread out the flop , giving him the lead. The was no help for his opponent, who needed an ace to steal the pot. The completed the board, only bringing more disappointment to the all in player, who graciously stood up from his chair, shook Wang’s hand and walked out of the tournament area.
Wang now has 36,000 in chips midway through the fourth level of the day.
