Time to Crown an APPT Melbourne Champion

Chip leader, Tom Grigg with fellow final tablist, Brendon Rubie
Chip leader, Tom Grigg with fellow final tablist, Brendon Rubie

Here we are back in the Crown Poker Room for the final day of action at the APPT Melburne Main Event. Only nine remain and one of them is destined to be the champion! Who will walk away with all the glory and the $326,125 first-place prize?

It is Tom Grigg who is in the best shape to take down the title, with the talented young Australian player proving yet again that he is a much-feared opponent. Today marks Grigg's fourth APPT/ANZPT final table, and while he has never taken down first-place prize, he is certainly the favourite to do so today.

However, Grigg will have stiff competition from some of the best players in the region, including Brendon Rubie, Kristian Lunardi, James Bills and Gary Benson. Each of these players have fantastic poker resumes and will be formidable opponents. Also at the final table, and adding a little bit of international flare to the day's proceedings are Wayne Bentley and Sam Razavi. Don't forget the rest of the players though, as they have proven they have what it takes to make it to the big stage.
