Big Pot Alert: O'Rourke Jumps Into Second Place

Liam O'Rourke just raised to 20,000 from the small blind, and chip leader Wayne Bentley defended his big blind.

The flop came down {8-Spades}{10-Spades}{K-Spades}, and O'Rourke checked to Bentley who fired out 30,000. O'Rourke called, and check-called the same amount on the {3-Spades} turn.

On the river the {8-Clubs} hit, and O'Rourke checked again. Bentley grabbed two big stacks of yellow chips and bet 200,000. O'Rourke snap-called and Bentley turned over {K-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. He had turned his top pair into a bluff, and got caught by O'Rourke who showed {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

O'Rourke's flush got him up to 620,000 chips, and while he's now in second place, the gap between him and Bentley is still pretty big.

Speaking of O'Rourke, Lynn Gilmartin caught up with him earlier today:
