Day 2 In The Bag; Only 37 Remain
After eight hours of play, Day 2 of the Melbourne APPT Main Event has come to a close. When all was said and done, there were 37 players who survived the day who will return tomorrow, with 28 of those lucky enough to not go home empty-handed.
Towering over all the competition at the top of the leader board and primed to make a run at the victory is New Zealander Phillip Willcocks, who will return tomorrow with a monster 770,400-chip stack.
While there is no player close to the stack of Willcocks, there are still quite a few prominent players who will return for Day 3 action with plenty of chips to play with. These include the young James Obst (452,900), Koray Turker (424,400) and the last remaining female in the field, Norah Greer (382,000).
Also bagging an impressive stack was Australia's PokerStars Team Online Pro Keiran Harris, with Harris managing to finish the day with 389,000.
Some other names making it to Day 3 including Antonis Kambouroglou (279,200), Reza Vakili (231100), Michael Guzzardi (230,100), Leo Boxell (168,400), Tony Hachem (161,400), Ricky Kroesen (157,400) and Van Marcus (123,900).
