Geshkenbein Widens His Lead

Vladimir Geshkenbein just took down a monster pot from Neil Arce, further increasing his chip lead over the field.

Arce opened the pot with a raise to 100,000 and Geshkenbein made the call from the small blind.

Both players checked the {5-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop and saw the {4-Diamonds} fall on the turn. Geshkenbein then fired a bet of 163,000 which was quickly called by Arce.

The river delivered the {3-Hearts} and Geshkenbein took a long sip from his beer before counting out a bet of 350,000 and sliding it into the middle. Arce made the call and Geshkenbein proudly tabled a pocket pair of fives for a set. Arce mucked and was left with 1.5 million in chips.

Geshkenbein improved to 2.97 million in chips with the win.
