Johnny Chan opened with a raise to 50,000 from the button and when the action reached Vladimir Geshkenbein in the big blind, he kicked it up to 140,000. Chan made the call and the two went heads-up to the {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Spades} flop.

Two checks sent the action to the turn, {7-Hearts}, where Geshkenbein checked, Chan fired 105,000 and Geshkenbein immediately announced, "All in."

Chan counted down his stack and pondered a call, but ultimately tossed his cards into the muck pile.

After the hand, Chan dropped to 215,000 in chips while Geshkenbein improved to 2.1 million.
