In a battle from the west, Matthew Kirk raised to 475 from the button and fellow Western Australian Michael Pedley made the call in the small blind.

The flop was {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{K-Spades} and both players checked. The turn brought the {6-Diamonds} and Pedley led out for 600. Kirk bumped it up to 2,000 but Pedley was prepared for war as he moved all of his chips defiantly into the middle.

Kirk cringed and released his hand, leaving himself only 3,000 in chips as he sighed sarcastically "Well it's been a great day!"
