No More Anunu, Yates Back At It

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

The final hand of Mishel Anunu's ANZPT Queenstown Main Event started with Daniel Neilson opening it up to 800 from the cutoff. Anunu then moved all in from the button, at which point Matty Yates got all his chips in from the small blind. Back around to Neilson and he folded his cards. Yates had Anunu covered by a small amount and below is how the cards looked.

Anunu: {Q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Yates: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The {2-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} was a good one for Yates, while the {k-Spades} meant that Anunu had a few extra outs. The {2-Spades} river however wasn't what Anunu was looking for and just like that the reigning ANZ Player of the Year was sent to the rail.

Yates now has a little over starting stack after falling quite short earlier in the day. Yates finished 2nd in this event back in 2011 when Marcel Schreiner was the champion.
