Ben Rendall’s tournament has come to an end in 18th place in unfortunate fashion. Rendall clashed with Stanislav Chataline preflop with Rendall running his 
smack-bang into Chataline’s

The board would run out 
and the two stacks were cut down as they were very close in chips. The final count was Chataline with 171,500 and Rendall holding 172,500. Yep, Rendall would be left with a single 1,000-denomination chip.
Would this be a chip-and-a-chair comeback story for the ages? Sadly not, as Rendall’s last chip was in the middle next hand, never to return.
