Perfect Turn Card for Melms
After one limper, Donald Brown raised to 1,100 in middle position. There was a three-bet to 2,600 in the small blind and Bill Melms flat-called from the big blind. The rest of the table folded including Brown to leave Melms just the two blinds left in the hand.
The flop came and the small blind checked to Melms who bet 3,000. His opponent called and the landed on the turn. The small blind check-called another bet of 6,500 from Melms and the completed the board.
The small blind checked for the third time and Melms threw enough chips in the middle to cover his opponent's stack of 12,600. His opponent splashed the rest of his chips in the pot and Melms tabled for a straight. His opponent turned a set with but was forced to head to the registration desk.
