After over 13 hours of play, Event #97 - $160 XL Inferno Tune Up, finally crowned a winner. It was "PokerMogo" from Romania who claimed the first place prize of $44,996.82 after defeating "renatonomura" in heads-up play.
The event had 1,171 players register with 567 rebuys for a total of 1738 total entries. They created a prizepool of $260,700 with 153 places getting paid. It was "CzarBushov" from Canada that finished on the bubble and was unable to break into the money.
After nearly 10 hours of play, the tournament dwindled down to nine players which made up the official final table. It was "PokerMogo" who went on an early heater as he scored the first three knockout on the final table. He eliminated "PacoMonon" in 9th place ($2,867.70), "veeea" in 8th place ($5,083.65), and "Kelvin_kerbe" in 7th place ($7,690.65), two of which he held aces on the elimination hand.
"SoulRead88uk" ($10,297.65) and "Pelfort" ($12,904.65) would grind short stacks for awhile but would eventually fall to "surprisefirm" in back-to-back hands for 6th place and 5th place respectively. "IWant2Gamble" was left on the short stack but stayed aggressive by pushing all-in and stealing the blinds. However, he was finally caught when he pushed with ace-five, and "PokerMogo" woke up with ace-king. The board ran out dry and "IWant2Gamble" was eliminated in 4th place ($18,144.72).
The remaining three players were all extremely deep and would play three-handed for over an hour. Finally it was "surprisefirm" that was all-in but with the best hand. Unfortunately, "renatonomura" would hit an eight on the flop and held on to secure his place in the final two, sending "surprisefirm" to the rail in 3rd place ($24,766.50). The two players went into heads-up play fairly even in chips but it would be "renatonomura" that would take a three-to-one chip lead over "PokerMogo" early on. Shortly after, "PokerMogo" reversed his fortune and took back the chip lead and continued to build on it. Finally all the chips got in the middle with "PokerMogo" holding against "renatonomura"'s . The board ran out .
"renatonomura" would finish in 2nd place ($32,587.50) and "PokerMogo" took down the title!

"renatonomura" got his remaining chip in the middle holding and "PokerMogo" called with . The flop came and "PokerMogo" was still out in front. The on the turn gave "renatonomura" some more outs but the on the river sealed the deal. "renatonomura" was eliminated in 2nd place but takes home a cool $32,587.50!
