Lyons Doubles Through Campbell

Level 23 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Juan Lyons
Juan Lyons

Greg Campbell opened to 125,000 in early position and action folded around to Juan Lyons on the button, who made it 320,000. Campbell responded with a four-bet to 900,000 and made the call once Lyons five-bet all in for 1,560,000.

Juan Lyons: Q?Q?
Greg Campbell: A?K?

Lyons was flipping but took control after hitting a set on the 7?Q?3? flop. The K? turn and A? river were not enough for Campbell, as Lyons earned the double up.

Final Nine Battle For 888poker LIVE Madrid Main Event Title

Ramón Fernández
Ramón Fernández

The time has arrived at Casino Gran Via for the conclusion of the 888poker LIVE Madrid series. The spotlight will be on the final nine as they battle for the
€888 Main Event title and the top prize of €66,000.

The flagship event of the week saw 435 total entries across four starting flights, creating a hefty prize pool of €333,905. The largest portions of that sum are still to be handed out when players return to action at 3 p.m. local time today.

Leading the way will be Ramon Fernandez, who arrives at the unofficial final table as the only player with more than 100 big blinds. Fernandez will be looking to keep the trophy at home in the Spanish capital, carrying a healthy lead over Italy’s Mateo Calzoni and Greg Campbell of the United Kingdom.
