Walden Spikes the River to Bust One
Owen Dodd limped in from the cutoff before the button raised to 1,500. Jamie Walden, in the small blind, then three-bet to 4,000 and both Dodd and the button called.
The flop came J?10?2? and action checked to the button who bet 7,000. Walden then raised to 17,000 and Dodd got out of the way. Walden's remaining opponent, though, tanked for a minute before reraising to 29,000, leaving a green 500 chip behind.
Walden then tanked for a minute before moving all in, and his opponent tossed in his last chip.
All-In Player: A?J?
Jamie Walden: K?Q?
Walden had a straight draw against his opponent's top pair but failed to connect with the 2? turn. The river was the Q? and Walden made top pair to send his opponent crashing out of the tournament.
"That's what the kids do nowadays. Limp, raise, three-bet. He was excited to look at king-queen," a tablemate joked with Walden after the hand.
