The final day of the 888Live London Festival Opening Event saw 124 survivors from the 4 day 1s joined by 5 new players to make 129 players to start Day 2.

With 521 entries and 250 rebuys, the entries reached a total of 771 resulting in a prize pool of 142,758 which smashed the 120,000 guarantee.

The eventual winner was set to receive 26,000 and a seat to the Main Event worth an additional 1,100. All nine players who made the final table received a ticket to the Main Event. A total of 81 players got paid, with a min-cash being set at 400.

One of the early casualties, short of the money, was Giovanni Rizzo who lost a flip for his last 10 big blinds with {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} against {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} as an ace on the flop ended his tournament.

Chris Davis was the unlucky bubble boy, and it was a very unlucky exit, as he flopped a full house and got the money in versus an opponent who held trips but made the better full house on the river.

It took just over two hours to reach the bubble and the pace of eliminations hardly slowed down until they reached the final table of nine around 11 p.m on Sunday when it slowed down considerably.

Stacks were shallow and the blinds were creeping up and no one could get a decisive advantage as ICM and pay-jumps became a major factor.

It took several coolers before there were three players left and they agreed on a deal at close to 4:30 a.m.

Christopher Kyriacou had a slight chip lead and he got the trophy and 20,000. Ka Him Litook 17,900 for second, just above Terry Simpson, who was happy with 17,675 and third.
