In a five-way limped pot to the K?7?3? flop, it checked to Elliott Kampen and he bet 100,000 in the cutoff. Adam Hendrix called from the button and Arthur Morris also called from under the gun.

The 9? followed on the turn and it now checked to Hendrix, who bet 150,000 and forced two folds.

Halatenko Survives All In, Eliminates Savill

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Sterling Savill raised to 85,000 from middle position preflop. Bogdan Capitan then reraised to 300,000 from the button. Stanislav Halatenko, the small blind, then came over the top for 980,000. After thinking for a couple of minutes, Savill called for around 235,000 more. Capitan then put in enough to cover Halatenko's stack, which only had around 20,000 more. Halatenko called, and all three sets of cards were turned over.

The board came 3?J?5?8?7?, and Halatenko eliminated Savill while more than doubling up.

Pearson Piles On the Pressure

Travis Pearson raised from the hijack to 65,000 finding two callers, Anthony Hu on the button and the big blind.

Three-ways to a flop of A?7?6?, once checked to Pearson fired into two opponents for 125,000. Only Hu called.

The J? on the turn saw one more bet from Pearson, this time for 325,000. Hu tossed his cards into the muck.

Small Pots in the Opening Stages

Ap Grza raised to 60,000 in the cutoff and then folded when Orod Ashegh reraised the pot from the small blind.

Arthur Morris collected a pot when he raised to 60,000 on the button and earned a call from Sam Soverel out of the big blind. The flop came K?3?2? and Soverel check-folded to a bet worth 70,000 by Morris.

Last but not least, Benoit Galland raked in a medium-sized pot when he bet 250,000 into around 500,000 on the Q?J?6?K?2? river, forcing a fold from chip leader Dimitar Danchev.

The 2023 World Series of Poker has entered the second half at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas and a record-setting Championship Event is en route to crowning a champion within the next two days. Out of a field of 731 entries in Event #50: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship, only 42 players remain to compete for the largest slice of the $6,798,300 prize pool.

Leading the survivors into Day 3 as of 2 p.m. local time is Bulgarian poker pro Dimitar Danchev, who accumulated 3,705,000 so far. With his score in this event, Danchev is set to surpass more than $6 million in tournament cashes on the live poker circuit and will look to earn his second World Series of Poker gold bracelet. It won't be an easy ride, however, as several well-known four-card aficionados remain in contention.

Second in chips is fellow WSOP bracelet winner Sam Soverel (2,340,000) followed by William Kopp with 1,890,000. The PLO specialists Dylan Weisman (1,855,000), Bogdan Capitan (1,760,000), Ap Garza (1,570,000) and Arthur Morris (1,515,000) can all be found in the overall top ten as well in a stacked field.

Other notables still in the mix include Ka Kwan Lau, Sean Winter, David Wang, Keith Lehr, Kosei Ichinose, Juha Helppi, and Scott Bohlman to name but a few. The 42 contenders have locked up $28,905 for their efforts and the next pay jump awaits with 39 players left.

Day 3 will continue with Level 21, which features blinds of 10,000-25,000 and all levels last 60 minutes each.The previous two tournament days contained ten levels each whereas Day 3 will aim to play down to the last five contenders before bagging up for the night. The action of the penultimate day will also be streamed on the PokerGO platform.
