With a 50 big blind effective stack, we open-raise to 2.5bb in middle position, and get called by the player on the button.

This is a standard middle position opening range, with the button having a capped calling range.

This model shows a common spot where you are out of position against a tough opponent on the flop after you were the pre-flop aggressor.

Automatically continuation-betting or "c-betting" heads up against less-skilled opponents is often the best play.

Against tougher players youll need to focus on how ranges interact and avoid going on autopilot.

When deciding whether to c-bet against a tough opponent, make sure to pay attention to board texture and which range it favors as well as which turn cards you might be able to profitably fire a second bullet on.

If none exist, you may not want to c-bet.
