Toma's early cashes came in the early 2010s in Macau and Australia, including final-tabling the 2012 Asia Championship of Poker Taipa Main Event. He finished sixth for $122,830.
He would continue to cash on the European Poker Tour in Malta, Spain, Czech Republic and Monte Carlo. He narrowly missed out on making the PokerStars Championship Barcelona Main Event in 2017, finishing 12th for $91,455.
Having begun to play High Roller tournaments more regularly, he finished second in the €25,000 Single Day High Roller at the 2018 EPT Prague for $216,964 - the largest cash of his career so far.
One year later, Toma would grab two High Roller titles at EPT Prague, winning two €10,000 High Rollers for combined cashes of over $700,000.
