Simeon Spasov is a Bulgarian professional poker player who specializes in No-Limit Hold'em tournaments. Spasoz has $1.9 million in live poker tournament earnings, placing him just outside the top 10 in Bulgaria's all-time money list.
Spasov's first live tournament victory came in July 2014, when he won a €300 buy-in event for €6,742 in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria. Spasov did not register an in-the-money finish between December 2014 and July 2017 but has regularly made his way to various cashier desks since returning to the tables.
In March 2019, Spasov finished second in the $5,000 Merit Poker Top Guns High Roller tournament for his first six-figure score; he walked away with $100,000. Three years later, Spasov was again the runner-up in a $5,000 High Roller event at Merit Poker, banking $97,015 for his efforts.
Spasov's impressive 2022 continued at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas. He entered Event #49: $2,000 No Limit Hold'em alongside 1,976 opponents. The Bulgarian eventually found himself heads-up against Canadian superstar Mike Watson, and he defeated his decorated opponent, capturing his first gold WSOP bracelet and a career-best $527,944 in prize money.
In February 2023, Spasov was the fourth-place finisher in the €2,000 FPS High Roller at EPT Paris, and collected €104,650. A return to Merit Poker in North Cyprus in March 2023 saw Spasov finish fourth in the $5,300 Marit Poker Carmen Series High Roller and the $3,300 Main Event for a combined haul worth $194,800.
Spasov triumphed in the $2,200 Merit Poker Cup, part of the 2024 Merit Poker Carmen Series, and won $149,600.
Spasov became a two-time WSOP champion at the 2024 WSOP. The Bulgarian outlasted 2,255 opponents in Event #12: $1,500 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em a result good for $439,815.
