Patrick Moulder is a Las Vegas-based poker player best known for winning Event #56: $2,500 Limit Mixed 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP), which earned him his first bracelet.
Moulder busted from a No-Limit Hold'em event at the 2022 WSOP and found himself at a loose end. Seeing a $1,500 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball event had started, he read up on the rules, bought in, and ultimately finished 19th for his first recorded live cash.
After cashing in the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. event at the same WSOP, Moulder won a $400 H.O.R.S.E. tournament at the Wynn Las Vegas, for $10,397, his first five-figure haul. A trip to the 2023 WSOP saw Moulder cash in four non-hold'em events.
Moulder warmed up for the 2024 WSOP with a final table appearance in a $5,100 8-Game tournament, part of the PokerGO Mixed Games festival. That resulted earned Moulder a $17,800 payday.
Moulder set himself a goal of reaching a WSOP final table in 2024. He achieved that goal with a nine-place finish in the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship; he earned $35,838. A fortnight later, Moulder reached the final table of the $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship, finishing eighth for $41,281.
Less than a week later, Moulder won the $2,500 Mixed Limit 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball event for $177,045 and his first WSOP bracelet.
