Michael Rocco

Michael Rocco is an American poker player from California best known for winning Event #94: $10,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em Championship at the 2024 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Rocco won $924,922 and his first WSOP bracelet.

Rocco has almost 200 recorded live cashes dating back to June 2010. Like many poker players, most of his early career results stemmed from low-stakes tournaments. However, in March 2014, he finished third in the $10,000 WPT LA Poker Classic Main Event for $423,440. The bankroll and confidence boost from this result saw Rocco begin frequenting higher stakes.

He captured four five-figure scores in 2015, including a $45,207 prize for finishing 11th in the $15,400 WPT World Championship in Atlantic City.

In 2017, Rocco finished third in the $25,750 PCA High Roller for $409,020. Two years later, he won a $5,300 No-Limit Hold'em tournament that served as the Wynn Winter Classic Main Event and won $540,800.

In December 2020, Rocco landed another $100,000+ prize when he won a $600 No-Limit Hold'em tournament in Las Vegas.

Rocco put together some deep runs at the 2022 WSOP, including a seventh-place finish in the $50,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller ($192,570) and a runner-up finish in the $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em Six-Handed (87,854). The 2023 WSOP Europe festival saw Rocco finish second in a €25,000 High Roller for €365,000 ($391,858) and fifth in the €10,350 Main Event for €1341,000 ($364,059).

Rocco enjoyed an incredible 2024 WSOP, cashing in 11 high-stakes events. He won $639,620 for a third-place finish in the $25,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller Six-Handed and $282,983 for a third-place finish in the $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em Super Turbo Bounty, among others.

He was one of 502 entrants in the $10,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em event, where he defeated reigning champion Alexandre Reard heads-up to bank a $924,922 score plus his first, long overdue bracelet.
