Joseph Sanders is an American poker player from Utah best known for winning Event #90: $1,500 6-Handed Pot-Limit Omaha at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas. Sanders has over $880,000 in live poker tournament earnings.
Sanders' first recorded live score was a 52nd-place finish in a $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em event at the 2005 WSOP. Five of his next six results came with five-figure payouts.
From around 2017, Sanders began focusing on Pot-Limit Omaha and immediately enjoyed impressive results, including a win in a $2,000 WPT ARIA Summer Championship event worth $35,000.
In June 2021, Sanders earned $26,000 and $50,400, respectively, for eighth and fifth-place finishes in a pair of $10,000 buy-in PokerGO Tour U.S. Poker Open Omaha events. At the 2021 WSOP, he finished 24th in the $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller for $48,007.
Having cashed in the $555 Pot-Limit Omaha Mystery Bounty event at the 2024 WSOP, Sanders entered the $1,500 6-Handed Pot-Limit Omaha tournament, where he topped a 1,306-stong field to capture his first gold WSOP bracelet and a career-best $269,530.
